Wanda B. Knight—Associate Professor of Art Education and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Pennsylvania State University—will lead this powerful session highlighting an historically significant moment within NAEA, in which Black art educators formally protested against the Association’s perceived practices of exclusion. Building upon the leadership of the Committee on Multiethnic Concerns (COMC) regarding diversity and inclusion, we will be offered a vision for how NAEA can transform to be more inclusive of all members.
